KAHC Week 16 Update

A mixed weekend for the Club - wins for the men's 1s and 2s, draws for the 3s and ladies 1s. It seems that they are all important games now, but this week the men's 1s play fellow promotion contenders Folkestone and the ladies' 1s play in a top of the table clash against Ashford 2s.

As we approach the business end of the season it is important that we keep up momentum, make sure availability is good and we get to training. With all four league sides in with a realistic chance of promotion, we are well placed and it would be nice to follow through with the right results. I know for a fact that availability is very good this week so the captains will have some tough selection decisions to make - please try to make this as pain free as possible for all concerned and give your best for whichever team you play for!

In other news:

1. Places fast running out for the End of Season Dinner, to be held on 27 March. Sherradan has provided details already. Would be good to see as many of you there as possible and other halves more than welcome.

2. There are a couple of places left for the Easter Tour to Normandy. Total cost (including travel, accommodation, food AND booze) is £303. Should be a grand weekend in a fine part of the world.

3. Intersport @ Herne Hill - Pete Swann, the owner and manager of the shop, asked me to forward on this message:

"I am sure there are many of you who haven't been to the shop yet, so I just wanted to let you know what we stock hockey wise.

The main stick brands we stock are TK, Grays and Dita, although we also order sticks from Adidas and Gryphon. If you have a stick in mind that we don't stock we are happy to order them and the club discount still stands.

Astro wise we stock Asics, Adidas and Grays and we also have a good selection of pads, gloves, grips etc."

Best of luck at the weekend to everyone playing.
